S3 E1: What it means to Find Home

Annnnnd WE'RE BACK! Season Three is going to be focused on Finding Home. Before we jump into the conversations this season, I share my personal thoughts on what finding home means. Join me (@muna_kampala) as I have conversations with different people surrounding their journey of finding home. Finding home within themselves. Within their bodies & mind, as well as in other people.  As always, we are showing up authentically and keeping it real. So, again, CAN WE TALK? Soundtrack by @tinaford.now Art by @ibrahimkizza_

On this episode, I am joined by Tina Ford, a Ugandan Neo-Afro soul musician, who uses music as an art of storytelling, incorporating dance and drama as a form of expression. She shares what home means to her, and takes us on her personal journey of finding home within herself. We talk about facing the darkness within us, standing in our power and things we have had to unlearn along the way.
Do you ever find home within yourself? How do we know when we are living in our truth?

On this episode, I have a chat with Roberta Kisubi, who is pursuing a career in mental health policy. She takes us on her personal journey of finding home within her mind and how that journey has changed over the years. She keeps it real about how hard doing the work can get, but how rewarding it is. How do you protect your mind? Do you set boundaries for yourself? Have you found home within your mind? What does that look like?

On this episode, I have a chat with Achieng Julietta, who is passionate about personal development, well being & prosperity. She takes us on her personal journey of finding home within her roots and her work with her organization, The Conscious Africans. She shares about how becoming curious about her ancestry has helped her on the journey of discovering herself. How can we break generational patterns? What does finding home in your roots mean? What does that look like? Follow Achieng Julietta: @a_conscious_aj  @achie_julietta @theconsciousafricans Get ready for some good ol' conversation. On this episode, I have a chat with Ethel and Shari, two best friends and two halves of the creative duo, Shnaks. They are passionate about producing vibrant, culturally relevant content that tells stories and offers experiences. We talk about what finding home in their friendship has looked like and how that has evolved over a span of more than ten years. What is finding home in friendship? How do we leave space for the self within friendships? How do you make home for the ways in which the friendship changes?
